This week our Cloudfm marketing team joined Essex County Cricket to host a surprise assembly for St John’s CofE Primary School.
Thirteen budding cricketers from the school were recently invited to take part in a competition at Cloudfm’s head office to design their own cricket shirts. Each student buddied up with one of their cricketing heroes from the first team to work on a colourful design. Essex Captain Ryan ten Doeschate selected the winning design, which was then recreated on t-shirts for all the pupils to enjoy.
Essex Cricket’s mascot Eddie the Eagle surprised the pupils in their whole school assembly to present the students with the unique shirts. Competition winner, Sydney Herbert, was first to receive his, which he designed with Essex Cricket all-rounder, Matthew Coles.
We are thrilled that we can share the partnership that we have with Essex Cricket with the local community. The enthusiasm that the school cricket team has is fantastic and we are delighted to be able to inspire their passion for the sport through spending some quality time with the Essex players.
As a special treat, the whole school have been invited to an England Women’s international T-20 match at the Essex county ground. The cricket team are excited to wear their t-shirts for their next tournament and have also been invited to play in a local tournament that will take place at Colchester Cricket Ground this summer.
