Cloudfm was launched in 2011 by a team of FM experts. Having experienced the limitations of conventional solutions, the founders believed that a new approach was required, one that challenges the status quo and validates its claims with tangible results. Jeff Dewing MBIFM

Chief Executive

Co-founder of Cloudfm, Jeff originally trained as a refrigeration & air-conditioning engineer. He has served as a board director for FM companies turning over in excess of £100 million, and most notably was the European Operations Director at ISS, the largest FM provider in the UK (and the 7th largest in the world).


Jeff’s extensive operational knowledge, together with his expertise in designing and building IT database driven systems, underpins the practical application of the Cloudfm philosophy. He brings exceptional operational and management experience to the leadership team.

Derrick Hidden

Derrick Hidden

Group Director of Technical Consultancy

Co-founder of Cloudfm, Derrick has worked for several of the major FM management companies in varying roles, from site-based management to associate directorships of large client accounts and technical departments providing a turnover in excess of £21 million.


Derrick was trained in mechanical and electrical systems involving HVAC, building controls, hydraulics, desalination, electrical generation, sewage treatment, gas turbine and steam generation plant. His technical expertise, combined with a comprehensive knowledge of FM, is key to the success of our consultancy division.

Christopher Gallop

Christopher Gallop

Group Managing Director

Chris has 30 years’ blue chip experience with Deutsche Bank, UKAEA and British Gas. His achievements in real estate, infrastructure and corporate services design and delivery include asset optimisation, risk management, FM outsourcing, project governance, HR process design and P&L responsibility up to €200m.

Chris has also held a number of advisory board positions in the NFP sector, including with the City Fringe Partnership, the East London Business Alliance, and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. He is currently an advisor to Energy Bank Ltd, an innovative renewable energy provider.

Helen Tidswell

Group Communications Director

With over 15 years’ experience in journalism, PR and marketing, Helen brings a wealth of expertise in all aspects of corporate communications. Her achievements include designing and managing strategic campaigns for leading consumer and B2B brands, including Poggenpohl, GE, Sara Lee, Sub Zero, Wolf, Vaillant and Ideal Group.

An award-winning marketer, Helen has also advised organisations in the HVAC, automotive, NFP and professional service sectors. Typical projects have included new product and service launches, expansion into new markets, business turnaround and crisis management.

Adam Clayfield

Adam Clayfield

Group Commercial Director

Combining operational expertise with commercial acumen, Adam has a proven record in driving growth in the retail sector. His role as Regional Director at Lidl, for example, encompassed the management of a 1000-strong team across 68 sites, with a P&L of £250 million. During this time, Adam delivered a range of projects that led to significant improvements in efficiency and sales.

Most notably, Adam successfully launched the new Sport service channel for BT, achieving revenue of £30 million in 3 months. He also built a sales and service team of over 150 people in just 5 months, ensuring the continued growth of the channel.

Andrew Frith

Andrew Frith

Non Executive Group Director

Andrew trained as Civil Engineer, but has spent the last 25 years in change management working with PWC, KPMG and independently. He has spent a considerable amount of time in the information and software business, originally developing systems for multinational companies, then latterly founding and selling businesses in that field.

Andrew is currently helping NHS organisations in the information and business intelligence space, as well as working with the Government OpenData initiative. He is also an expert industry advisor to the Large Scale Complex IT Systems research collaborative of York, Leeds, Edinburgh and Aston Universities.
